Pago de los Balagueses Syrah har den højeste klassifikation man kan få i Spanien, nemlig Pago. Balagueses er de ældste marker på Bodegaen. Størrelse er cirka. 3 ha, og ligger cirka 800 meter over havet, og er omgivet af pinjeskov hvor der gror vilde urter. På markerne har der aldrig været brugt pesticider. Vinen minder umiddelbart om en stor Chateauneuf-du Pape. Vinen har en sort rød farve, med duft af stjerne anis og med mørke blommer i eftersmagen. Vinen er blød og lækker med en vidunderlig lang eftersmag.

Characterised by the dry conditions facing the goblet trained vines grown “en secano”, without irrigation and suffering almost until the stress threatens their survival.
The sugar levels were considerable with low acidity and without doubt the wines had concentration. The white grapes would not have been forgiving without being at the optimum ripeness for harvesting but the fruit was healthy achieving correct phenolic maturity despite late summer rain and a cooler september. 
Syrah (100 %). The vines trained on trellising with an age of over 30 years located at an attitude of over 780m, in the Pago de Los Balagueses; an enclave of 3 hectares amidst pine tree forests, aromatic plants and almond trees. The viticulture follows natural, cultural, practices with ecological certification and yields of under 1.8kg per vine. 
The harvest was from select vineyard parcels of low production, performed during the first week of October at the moment of optimum grape maturation. 
We followed the “traditional methods” of wine making managing to extract the typicity of the Syrah variety. Stalk removal and gentle crush of the grapes
with pre-fermentation at low temperature with malolactic fermentation in oak casks. 
Crianza during 10 months in French oak barrels 70 % new oak & 30 % used oak followed by aging one year in bottle before release. 
Deep ruby red with purple highlights, strong aromatic intensity of red and black mature fruit, violet floral notes with subtle balsamic and Asian spice deriving
from the oak. On the palate immediate abundant fruit of black and red cherries with creamy complexit y, fine grained tannins destined to polish with bottle
age. Balanced alcohol and acidity, structured yet elegant with a fine sustained finish.
