CHÂTEAU LYNCH MOUSSAS, 5. CRU PAUILLAC 2015 Jeroboam – 5 liter

* Robert Parker 92 point * Château Lynch Moussas er en anerkendt Cru Classé, der er klassificeret som 5. Cru Classé i 1855-klassifikationen. Slottet ejes af den kendte Calejás-familie, som igennem fire generationer har ejet vinslotte i Bordeaux. Heriblandt også kendte ejendomme som Ch. Batailley og Ch. Trottevielle. Familien har især op igennem 70'erne investeret store summer i slottet, hvorfor vinen da også de seneste år har taget noget af et kvalitetsspring.

Lynch Moussas kommer fra ca. 55 ha vinmarker og 35 år gamle vinstokke i Pauillac på en jordbund af veldrænende grus med et højt indhold af silika. Lynch Moussas er at betegne som en semi-moderne Bordeaux-vin, der rammer en lidt bredere appel end mange andre Pauillac-producenter. Vinen er igennem 15-20 dages lang fermentering og lagrer på 14-18 måneder på 50 % nye fade. 

The 2015 Lynch Bages is a blend of 70 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 24 % Merlot, 4 % Cabernet Franc and 2 % Petit Verdot matured in 75 % new oak. It has a really beautiful bouquet that builds on the promise that it showed out of barrel: blackberry, raspberry, graphite and a touch of violet—clean, precise and quite powerful, but it is the purity that really convinces you that this is a serious Lynch Bages. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a gentle grip in the mouth and a keen thread of acidity. I find this to be an elegant Lynch Bages, not as ambitious or as profound as the nascent 2016, yet very feminine and stylish with a silky smooth finish that is irresistible. Excellent. Anticipated maturity: 2022 - 2045.
