* Se de flotte anmeldelser nederst * Château Langoa Barton er et af Saint-Julien’s mest klassiske slotte – familieejet gennem over 200 år og stadig drevet med samme respekt for tradition og terroir. Ejendommen blev købt af den irske vinhandler Hugh Barton i 1821, og i dag føres arven videre af hans efterkommere: Lilian Barton Sartorius samt hendes børn Mélanie og Damien, der repræsenterer tiende generation. Familien står også bag naboslottet Léoville Barton, og sammen udgør de et stykke levende Bordeaux-historie.

Årgang 2020, høstet fra 14. til 28. september, består af 53 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 38 % Merlot og 9 % Cabernet Franc. Vinen viser alt, hvad man forventer af Saint-Julien: balance, charme og finesse. Duften byder på solbær, ceder og et strejf af viol, mens smagen er elegant og afrundet med modne tanniner og en frisk, vedvarende afslutning. En klassisk Langoa Barton – harmonisk, raffineret og fuld af den diskrete adel, der kendetegner huset.

* Jep Dunnuck * Tasted on multiple occasions, the 2020 Château Langoa Barton comes from a mix of different sites in Saint-Julien, which makes it a great representation of the vintage and appellation. The blend is 53.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc. It exhibits a deep ruby/purple hue to go with a beautiful bouquet of red and black cherries, currants, leafy tobacco, and cedar pencil, with a touch of damp earth that emerges with time in the glass. Medium to full-bodied, balanced, and elegant on the palate, it has plenty of mid-palate depth and richness, velvety tannins, and a great finish. This plush, up-front, expansive, wonderfully textured Saint-Julien will benefit from just a few years of bottle age and cruise for two decades. It's the finest example from this château I've tasted. Bravo.
